Lockdown has surfaced a new landscape. Home, usually blinded by its familiarity looks extraordinary and has become refuge in the new world. The streets at dawn entertain little traffic - human or otherwise. Within confines of the daily walk, I observe and respond to the new empty performance of conformity.
A vinyl façade picturing an idyllic field disguises a hinged barrier that you cannot pass, a child chalk drawing on a driveway relays their vision of the family unit, happy and playful, a novelty Countdown clock teapot sits on a sill behind frosted glass window that blurs time; the environment has become rich in visual metaphors.
